Qin Yi’s living style is different from mine. I am surprised and inspired by the way she approached her life. She became a monk for 3 months, working for exchange accommodations, and spending her time mostly living in rural areas with mother nature. She isn't following the traditional pathway in life.
“I changed my old mindset. Happiness for me is to consume safe and healthy food. I get vegetables from my neighbors, and I grow vegetables myself too. I can eat fresh vegetables without pesticides. I can consume delicious and healthy food, sleep well, and have a strong and healthy body. I think this is happiness.”
Sustainable living is a practical philosophy that aims to reduce personal and societal environmental impact by making positive changes that counteract climate change and other negative environmental concerns.
To live sustainably means using less of Earth's natural resources, reducing the production of polluting waste, and replenishing whatever you can.
There are some eco-friendly habits you can start adopting like:
Reducing plastic waste and switching to reusables
Conserving energy and water
Opting for local produce
Embracing natural cleaning products
Rejecting fast fashion
Reducing single-use plastic consumption
Composting
Reusing and recycling as many items as possible
You do not have to turn your lifestyle a complete 180 degrees overnight. As with other changes, you can take it one step at a time. You can start with your home. Any significant changes, small or big, are powerful!
